Jim joined Stillwater in the fall of 2015 as a Director of Business Development. He assists companies seeking to merge, acquire, sell, obtain financing, or receive a valuation.
Prior to joining Stillwater, Jim held “C” level positions within the supply chain that included work spanning five continents. In these positions, Jim provided ongoing double-digit organic profitable growth, managed mergers of companies, led a billion-dollar organization, and served as Chair for the Logistics Institute for seven years.
With over forty-five years' extensive experience leading several different transportation companies, he is recognized as a leader in the North American Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics industries.
From experience, Jim knows that when merging companies, too often the decisions that are made in the boardroom do not take into consideration differing company cultures; this can, and does, result in the failure of a merger.
Jim and his wife are kept busy with four children and eight grandchildren. He enjoys winemaking, traveling to new places, and everything to do with building. Jim has even raced a self-built replica car for 30 years.
