Doug is an internationally recognized speaker and expert in mergers & acquisitions. He has originated and executed over 100 investment banking assignments for middle market companies and their shareholders throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Doug serves as the North American Regional Chair for GGI Global Alliance’s Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group and leads the Global Transportation and Logistics Practice Group for Geneva Capital Group.
Prior to founding Stillwater Capital, Doug was Vice Chairman for a US-based national investment banking firm, Chairman of its Supply Chain Practice Group, and a director of its European affiliate. Prior to this, he was a Senior Manager at PwC in New York City and Toronto. In addition, Doug is an entrepreneur who has managed 2 mid-market financial service companies and participated in several boot-strapped start-ups.
A deep thinker, with uncommon insight in business strategy, he is an expert in selling mid-market businesses and developing and executing exceptional dynamic acquisition programs.
Doug is a graduate of the University of Waterloo’s Mathematics program, a CPA, and CA. He is married, with 3 children and 10 grandchildren. In addition to his professional activities, he is actively involved in church and mentoring men, and has traveled to over 30 countries.
